Calabasas High School Spectator & Sportsmanship Expectations

THE PACK

ONE PACK. ONE COMMUNITY. COYOTE PRIDE.

At Calabasas High School, our student-athletes, coaches, families, students, and fans all represent The Pack. Whether competing at home or away, we expect our community to represent CHS with positivity, good sportsmanship, respect, and class.

Our athletic events should be environments where we celebrate our Coyotes, support our student-athletes, and demonstrate pride in our school. Cheer for the Coyotes – not against our opponents.

HOW THE PACK SHOWS PRIDE

Members of The Pack:

– Cheer positively and enthusiastically for our Coyotes.

– Treat student-athletes, coaches, officials, and opposing spectators with respect.

– Celebrate victory with class and accept defeat with dignity.

– Follow the directions of administrators, event staff, and host-school personnel.

– Remain in designated spectator areas and off the playing surface.

– Use signs, school colors, and cheers to positively support CHS.

– Remember that our behavior reflects on Calabasas High School and our entire community.

NOT HOW THE PACK OPERATES

The following behaviors are unacceptable at CHS athletic contests:

– Berating or insulting opposing schools, mascots, players, coaches, or spectators.

– Personal or non-performance-related comments directed toward student-athletes.

– Obscene, inappropriate, or disrespectful cheers, language, signs, or gestures.

– Throwing objects onto or near the playing area.

– Entering the playing area before, during, at halftime, or after a contest without authorization.

– Disruptive use of prohibited noisemakers.

– Arguing, yelling at, or making disrespectful gestures toward officials.

– Approaching or confronting an official, coach, or student-athlete before, during, or after a contest.

RESPECT THE OFFICIALS

Officials are an essential part of high school athletics. Spectators should never approach, confront, argue with, or make physical contact with an official before, during, or after a competition.

Disagreeing with a call does not change our expectations for behavior. Concerns regarding officiating should be handled through the appropriate coaches and CHS Athletics – not from the stands.

PROTECT THE PACK

Every spectator contributes to the experience of our student-athletes. Inappropriate spectator behavior may result in removal from the event and/or restrictions from attending future CHS athletic competitions.

When you wear black and gold, attend a Coyote event, or travel to support our teams, you represent Calabasas High School.

Be loud. Be proud. Be positive. Be respectful.

GO COYOTES!
